The St. Paul Irish Dancers was founded in 1995 by Eileen Dahill with the goal of providing a gateway to Irish culture through dance. Quality dance instruction is our foremost purpose. To fulfill our mission SPID dancers are presented with other educational experiences, such as learning about Irish music and culture.

The philosophy of our school is to teach Irish dance in a friendly, positive, and nurturing way. St. Paul Irish Dancers hopes to encourage self-confidence, discipline and respect for the art form, as well as maintaining open lines of communication between instructors, students, and parents. Irish dancing is about fun, family, and building lasting friendships.

St. Paul Irish Dancers has had the opportunity to perform all over the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota . SPID presents an annual show at O'Shaughnessy Auditorium at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and dances each August at the Irish Fair of Minnesota. SPID has been privileged to share the stage with numerous Irish music acts including Ring of Kerry, Cherish the Ladies, and The Chieftains.
